Description:
Dragon Tree, scientifically known as Dracaena Marginata, is a species of the Dracaena genus, and is a slow-growing, evergreen shrub native to Madagascar. It is often grown as a houseplant and is popular for its attractive appearance, tolerance of low light conditions, and ease of care. This plant has long, green leaves with thin red margins and a stiff, upright habit. Over time, it can reach a height of up to 6 to 10 feet tall, making it a great option for large indoor spaces.
Plant Care:
- Light: The Dragon Tree prefers bright, indirect light, but can also tolerate low light conditions.
- Water: Water your Dragon Tree once a week, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Over-watering can lead to root rot.
- Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix and ensure that the pot has good drainage holes to prevent water from sitting in the bottom.
- Fertilizer: Fertilize your Dragon Tree every two to four weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer.
By following these tips, your Dragon Tree should thrive and bring a touch of greenery to your home or office. This plant is a great choice for those looking for a low-maintenance indoor plant with air-purifying benefits.
Disclaimer:
Our plants are always supplied with nursery pot. Please note, therefore, that the size specifications always refer to the height of the plant including the plant pot. Deviations of a few centimeters cannot always be ruled out as you are buying a natural living product. The height depends on several factors and can also vary slightly seasonally.
